Plot Overview
Set during the transition from the Goryeo to the Joseon dynasty, the series centers on Queen Wongyeong, portrayed by Cha Joo-young. Born into the prestigious Min family, she marries Yi Bang-won (Lee Hyun-wook), the fifth son of King Taejo, the founder of the Joseon dynasty. Despite her significant role in helping her husband ascend to the throne as King Taejong, their relationship becomes strained as he takes multiple concubines, diminishing her influence in the court.
