Set in the late 1960s, The Witches follows a young boy who moves in with his grandmother after his parents die in a car accident. They settle in a quiet town in Alabama, where the grandmother warns him about witches—evil beings who hate children and disguise themselves as normal women.
One day, while staying at a luxurious hotel, the boy accidentally discovers a secret meeting of witches led by the powerful Grand High Witch. She unveils a plan to turn all the children in the world into mice using a magical potion disguised as candy.
The boy is caught and turned into a mouse himself, but he escapes and finds his grandmother. With the help of another transformed child named Bruno, they come up with a plan to stop the witches and save other children from the same fate.
They sneak back into the witches’ meeting room and successfully slip the potion into the witches’ food. As a result, the witches unknowingly consume the potion and all turn into mice themselves, leading to chaos and their eventual destruction.
In the end, the boy, still a mouse, chooses to stay that way and live happily with his grandmother. Together, they plan to travel the world to find and stop every last witch, ensuring that no more children fall victim to their evil plans.
